Olympic Message

The most important thing about the Olympic Games is not to win, but to take part...just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle”. These are the words of Baron Pierre de Coubertin the founder of the Modern Olympics, also the designer of the olympic flag. As I read the Olympic message, it really motivates me to work harder and it doesn’t matter if you win or not.

If I had a say in what the olympic message means, I would say that it means to take part in something, represent your country and have a little fun doing it. It’s just like the 3 D’s Determination, Dedication and Desire. You are determined to win, you dedicate something to someone and you desire to have a gold medal.

I think that winning isn’t everything in life and that you have to sacrifice everything just to get up to the top of the board. Like you have to sacrifice your time, family, diet and other things. To get to the top of the board, there is one thing that you have to do, try your best!! It doesn’t matter if you have a bronze or silver medal it just matters that you are on the board.

To achieve a goal, you have to practise, practise and practise till you reach the end. There are many ways to achieve a goal like practise everyday, practice once a week or don’t practise at all. If you don’t practise at all then you will not achieve your goal. If you practise everyday or once a week, then you you will achieve anything.

If I was to achieve a goal, then I would practice at least once a week or twice a week. I would feel really happy if I was to achieve my goal, skipping for at least 1 minute of 2. How would you achieve your goal if you had one ?
